1. The Phlebotomist must be able to properly identify patients and use correct phlebotomy methods 
(venipuncture, skin puncture) to obtain patient samples. The Phlebotomist is relied on to preserve 
patient health and the quality of samples.

2. Provide guidance and direction to patients and personal support persons for navigating the VA 
health care system and administrative functions in VA. Provide scheduling services in accordance with 
with VA policies and guidance.

3. This position also requires the ability to use computers to enter patient information, excellent
communication skills, and attention to detail.
