1. Prepare, package, compound, label, and dispense pharmaceutical products and
medications.
2. Review orders written by authorized providers. (i.e., Physicians, Physician Assistants,
Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, Health Services Technicians, etc.)
3. Provide patient counseling relative to a medication's use, contraindications, and
product warnings.
4. Maintain pharmacy logs and other records as required.
5. Maintain inventory levels.
6. Order supplies.
7. Restock pharmacy supplies.
8. Receive, review, and process prescriptions utilizing the pharmacy’s computer program /
system.
9. Receive and process prescription refills by phone.
10. Communicate effectively with the patients, providers and other ancillary personnel.
11. Inventory medical and pharmaceutical product stocks to ensure adequate supplies and
inventory controls.
12. Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur.
13. Prepare and submit appropriate documentation as specified in applicable regulations.
14. Maintain required pharmacy security.
15. Other administrative work as assigned by the Pharmacist or Clinic Administrator
