Description

PARAMEDICS

WJM Professional Services is recruiting for Paramedics at Joint Base Cape Cod located at Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Paramedic shall perform in accordance with established principles, practices and ethics of a Paramedic licensed in the state of Massachusetts. Shall provide all aspects of personal Paramedic services at the U.S. Coast Guard Base Cape Cod, Buzzards Bay, MA and throughout Joint Base Cape Cod.

Professional Services

  • The healthcare provider shall perform a full range of EMT and Paramedic procedures on site.
  • Assess patients’ needs for emergency care, stabilize and provide emergency interventions
  • Administers oxygen, IV fluids, emergency medications oral, subcutaneous and intra-muscular medication.
  • Prepares, operates, and monitors specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, etc.
  • Inventory medicine and drug stocks to ensure adequate supplies and controls; E. Transport patients offsite for care.

Requirements:

  • A current certificate in the state of Massachusetts as a Paramedic.
  • A current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • A current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Current authorization to practice for the Cape and Islands EMS system
  • No adverse information on file” with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
  • A current certificate in the state of Massachusetts as EMT-Basic
  • A current certification in BLS
  • A current Emergency Vehicle Operation Course Certificate that is valid in the state of Massachusetts
  • “No adverse information on file” with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
  • Shall submit the following credentials once the contract is awarded:
  • Proof of successful completion of a state or national authorized EMT or Paramedic Program as applicable
  • Current professional certificate to practice in the state of Massachusetts as an EMT or Paramedic, as applicable
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Paramedic personnel only)

Hours of Performance.

The Contractor shall perform services on a routine basis, (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours per day, fifty- two (52) weeks per year
